‘Varmas’. Bred by Johannes Parksepp and Asta-Virve Libek. The cross made in 1970: ‘Albos’ × ‘Uus must’. Registered as new cultivar since 22.03.2004.

Fruit: very early maturing, black, glossy, big, berries in medium clusters with medium density, good berry separation from clusters. Very early.

Bush: medium, upright-spreading, producing shoots moderately. Winter hardy, rather good yielding, resistant to mildew and moderately susceptible to black currant gall mite. Thrives better in light soils.
