‘Seiu’ tree has been grown by Aleksei Aav from a chance seedling in his home garden in the Reina village on the Island of Saaremaa.

Summer cultivar: ripens in August, the mature fruit keeps only some days.

Fruit is medium to large, of typical pear shape, asymmetric. The greenish yellow ground colour is sometimes covered with a light red blush. The fl esh is yellowish white, very juicy, with few grit cells.

Tree is vigorous, with an upright spreading crown, starts to bear late. Winter hardiness is intermediate.
