‘Ene’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Heljo Jänes, Arthur and Eevi Jaama. It is grown from an unknown seed in the 1970s. Registered as new cultivar in 29.11.2011.

Ripening time: midseason.

Cherry is medium large, slightly oval shaped. The skin is dark red. The flesh is dark red, soft, juicy, sweet and sour. The juice is dark red. Semifreestone.

Tree is vigorous, pyramidal. A good bearer, self-unfruitful, pollinated by ‘Leningradskaja Tšornaja’ and ‘Meelika’. Winter hardy. Disease resistance is good.
