‘Mupi’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Kalju Kask. It is grown from the seed of open pollinated (1976) ‘Kati’. Registered as new cultivar since 26.01.2011.

Ripening time: midseason.

Cherry is large, heart shaped. The skin is dark red. The flesh is dark red, medium firm, juicy, sweet and sour, very tasty. The juice is dark red. The stone can be easily separated from the flesh.

Tree is medium vigorous, with a spreading crown. A good bearer. Self-unfruitful, pollinated by ‘Norri’ and ‘Polli Murel’. Winter hardy. Disease resistance is good.
