Polli varane

Plum

Prunus L.

‘Polli Munaploom’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Julius Eslon. The cross ‘Liivi Kollane Munaploom’ × ‘Duke of Edinburgh’ was made in 1946. Registered in 1971.

Ripening time: midseason.

Plum is large, oval, the skin is pinkish red. The flesh is whitish yellow, soft, stringy, juicy, sweet and sour, very tasty, freestone.

Tree is medium vigorous, with a globular crown, a poor bearer, self-unfertile. Pollinizers are ‘Märjamaa’ and ‘Kihelkonna’. Winter hardy. Disease resistance is good.
