‘Kurvitsa Lemmik’ is bred by Aleksander Kurvits in his home garden in Tartu. It was grown from the seed of open pollinated (1948) ‘Marguerita Marillat’.
Autumn season cultivar: consumption period begins in October and lasts about two weeks.
Fruit is medium to large, oblong-pyriform. The ground colour is green or yellow, the overcolour is carmine red. The flesh is white, very mild, juicy, sweet, without grit cells. Resistance to pear scab is good.
Tree is very vigorous, starts to bear 4–5 years after planting, productive. Winter hardiness is intermediate.
