‘Järve’ was grown by Johannes Järv in Tartu from a sucker of the pear rootstock of a ‘Beurré Flandre’.

Autumn season cultivar: consumption period begins in September and lasts about two weeks.

Fruit is large, typical pear shape. The green ground colour is partly covered with brownish red. The fl esh is white, very mild, sweet, with few grit cells. Resistance to pear scab is good.

Tree is very vigorous, upright spreading. Winter hardiness is intermediate.
