‘Põltsamaa Taliõun’ is a landrace. The original tree grew in the town of Põltsamaa, and it was started to propagate in the 1930s.

Winter season cultivar: consumption from November to January.

Fruit is of medium size, round conical, lopsided. The ground colour is greenish yellow, the overcolour is brownish red blush and covers a smaller part of the apple. The flesh is yellowish white, with medium firmness, juicy, with a mild sweet and sour taste.

Tree is vigorous, spreading, mature trees are productive. Moderately winter hardy.
