Karamba

Apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

‘Karamba’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Kalju Kask. The cross ‘Talvenauding’ × ‘Cortland’ was made in 1969. Registered as new cultivar since 17.12.2007.

Autumn season cultivar: consumption from October to December.

Fruit is of medium size, globose or short ovoid. The skin is greenish yellow, overspread with red totally or partly. The fl esh is greenish white, soft, sweet. Table apple.

Tree is precocious, good bearer. Shoots grow in good angle from the stem and confi rm strongly. Winter hardy. Disease resistance is good.
