Katre

Apple

Malus domestica Borkh.

‘Katre’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Kalju Kask. The cross ‘Tiina’ × seedling L8 was made in 1982. Cultivar is registered and protected under plant breeders rights since 17.12.2007.

Winter season cultivar: can be stored until spring.

Fruit is of medium size or large, globose. The skin is greenish yellow, overspread with red totally or partly. The flesh is white, firm, sweet and sour, juicy. The taste is good.

Tree is precocious, a good bearer. Winter hardiness is very good. Disease resistance is good.
