Malus x prunifolia

‘Kuku’ is bred at the Polli Horticultural Research Centre by Kalju Kask. The cross ‘Cortland’ x seedling 23 was made in 1986. Registered as new cultivar on 23.02.2009.

Autumn season cultivar: recommended for decorating meat dishes.

Fruit is small (20 g), elongated, the skin is red coloured. The fl esh is fi rm, sweet and sour. Good for producing a very tasty juice.

Tree is precocious, good bearer, weakly growing, with downward bending branches. Good winter hardiness and disease resistance.
